About Me

My work with adults

My work with adults focuses on supporting people through major life transitions and difficult points in their life. I am kind and blunt and I am a great listener.

(Wait! Are you here for your child or for parenting support? Jump down).

I’m the kind of therapist who will tell it to you like it is and make you laugh.

I see therapy as a collaboration that involves me witnessing as you move forward in your work as a person who loves without struggle. (Jump to more about me).

My work with children and parents

I was a great parent before I had children. But I’ve learned a few things in the past 17+ years. Here are 3 things that I think great parents share:

  1. They are flexible
  2. They see themselves and their children as full human beings
  3. They take care of themselves as well as their children

My work with children is about understanding what they’re telling us, often without words, and helping them make sense of it all. I “speak child” and children sense this about me.

I have some special talents and am terrible at other things.

I’m really good at communicating to individuals and families who are doubting themselves how great a job you are doing and how you are more than ok.

I am great at holding space in a way that is fun and creative and peaceful.

I never feel like I have it all figured out, but I never give up trying.

I do not understand emojis.

I don’t understand why people have dogs even though I have one and secretly love him (don’t tell my family).

I am a queer humanistic Jew and a parent who shines at de-escalating tough situations.

I’m terrible at responding to my family members’ questions about hair, clothing, and make-up.
